Selena Gomez is getting candid about her health struggles amid "medical issues."
The "Only Murders in the Building" star opened up about her highly publicized struggles with her health during a Women in Film dinner, while sitting next to her little sister Gracie.
“I truly believe that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help and when you want help,” Gomez said during the dinner, according to fan videos shared on X.
“So, yeah, I shared that I can’t carry a child. Yeah, I shared I have bipolar," Gomez said.
Other guests cheered on Gomez with a round of applause, but the "It Ain't Me" singer clarified that she doesn't have it "all put together."

“I only want to be an advocate for women and that’s why I share,” Gomez continued. "That’s why I like to be honest, because everybody is going through something ... I’m me and that’s all I can be.”

Selena Gomez opens up about childbirth, mental health and Lupus
Gomez has long detailed her public struggles with a series of health issues, dating back nearly a decade.
In 2015, she revealed her diagnosis with the autoimmune disorder Lupus during an interview with Billboard magazine, telling the outlet she also underwent chemotherapy. Two years later, in 2017, she received a kidney transplant from friend and fellow actress Francia Raisa.
In 2022, Apple released a documentary called "Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me" which detailed the "Selena + Chef" host's struggles with mental health and her complex relationship with superstardom. Recently, in a Vanity Fair cover story earlier this month, she revealed that she is unable to carry a child due to medical reasons.
“I haven’t ever said this,” Gomez told VF. "But I unfortunately can’t carry my own children. I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while.”
Selena Gomez is now a billionaire
Despite the backlash, Bloomberg shared that Gomez became something rare earlier this month.
The Rare Beauty founder, 32, is now a billionaire on the Bloomberg Billionaire Index with an estimated $1.3 billion fortune after the success of her Rare Beauty brand. The actress and singer has amassed her riches as one of the youngest billionaires in Hollywood after a storybook career, beginning with her breakout star turn on Disney Channel's "The Wizards of Waverly Place."
